What Makes A Mother's Wish Different?

Here at A Mother's Wish, our principles of childcare are based on Proverbs 22:6 - "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it." It is our goal to nurture, care for, and educate every child that enters our doors to prepare them to become lifelong learners and leaders. A Mother's Wish is not a babysitting agency! Our mission is to set the stage for each and every child to leave our school ready to enter Kindergarten with confidence and ambition. And the way we achieve our mission is through developmentally appropriate practices which meet children where they are while fostering a desire to learn and explore the world around them.

A Mother's Wish is a family that wants the best for your child. Our entire staff is committed to making that happen. All staff members are required to complete annual Early Childhood Education (ECED) courses that will keep us knowledgeable of the changes in teaching strategies as well as methods and procedures. It is mandatory for all staff members to have first aid and CPR certifications which are updated every two years. However refresher courses are required on an annual basis.

Through a very rigorous pre-employment screening process which includes a detailed background check, drug testing, and educational and experience verification; we are committed to staffing AMW with the best of the best in Early Childhood Education (ECED). With a unique curriculum that combines Abeka, Funshine Express, and our Toddlers to Scholars program, we are able to lay the foundation for our scholars and cultivate their natural curiosities.

Infants

Our Baby Bugs class is our infant program. In this very nurturing environment, we connect through play and hands-on learning designed to promote motor and sensory interaction.

Toddlers

In the toddler class, we focus on the growth of the child through building language, stories, songs, and social interaction.

Preschool

In our preschool class, we use an integrated curriculum where we connect different areas of study to expand their knowledge and skills in many areas related to the lesson.

Pre-K

In the PreKindergarten class, we focus on preparing the scholars for their entrance into elementary school. We work on character development, small-group instruction, and social emotional activities.

Our Approach

At A Mother's Wish, we utilize an integrated curriculum that combines our project-based learning with the child's individual learning style. We understand that a lifetime of learning is built during the early years, so we strive to create an active and fun-filled learning environment.
